Tarek El Moussa has let slip that he undergoes the knife on his 43rd birthday. He gave injectables a shout-out, six years after he told Dr. Phil how he was given “too much testosterone” by a doctor.
He’s married to Heather Rae El Moussa, who attends Botox open house parties for a start. Tarek El Moussa has never been very open about injectables – until he turned 43 and told a huge secret.

Tarek El Moussa thanked Botox for keeping his skin looking smooth as he turned 43 on August 29. He’s never usually been one to talk so openly about injectables, which left fans in shock.
His wife, Heather, who stars on Selling Sunset, underwent vocal cord surgery in 2022 and has confirmed she’s had lip filler and saline boob implants in the past. Tarek’s ex, Christina, also had a boob job.
He attended an anti-aging clinic years ago, as recalled on The Dr. Drew Podcast in 2018. He decided to make the visit after facing health problems, such as thyroid cancer, testicular cancer and back surgery.
He faced ‘awful’ Botox experience
“It was just my hormones were off. I was tired and I thought it was from the thyroid medication, but it wasn’t,” Tarek said. So he went to a Botox doctor and hormone clinic his ex, Christina Hall, recommended.
“Next thing I know I’m shoving a needle on my a** and taking steroids. It was testosterone,” he said, adding that he was given double the dose of his already normal hormone level.
“It was awful,” the real estate investor recalled. “I was completely on way too much testosterone, on top of that taking human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) injections every day… because I was told to.”
HGTV fans slam TV star
After finding out Tarek has had Botox, HGTV viewers are in shock. One fan told him, “Happy birthday, but you don’t need Botox. A few wrinkles are sexy. That goes for both men and women.”
Another penned, “Thought you would be anti Botox – with your clean eating and lifestyle,” while his co-star, contractor Jeff, commented, “I get Botox too! It’s filler, but I get it in my stomach.”
He jokily added, “In reality, I’m super shredded, with a six pack, but I get filler so these other men don’t feel intimidated,” which made long-time fans crack up with laughter.
