The two visited a number of restaurants in Westerville, Ohio before returning home for bed. Moore, 50, decided to sleep in the spare room after getting up in the middle of the night to use the toilet to avoid waking his wife.

When he woke up at 10 a.m., Noble had already left, taking her phone, keys, wallet, and car. Soon after, Moore reported his wife missing, but even then, speculation as to her “disappearance” lingered.

Who is Matheau Moore from Westerville, Ohio?

According to prosecutors, Matheau Moore allegedly killed his wife between May 24 and May 25, 2020. He reported Noble missing on May 25. Noble pretended to be asleep when he left the house without her car, keys, wallet or cell phone.

He handed out posters and asked the producers of The Vanished Podcast to publicize his wife’s missing person case in the months that followed.

During the approximately hour-and-a-half presentation, Moore made strange comments about Noble.

Search teams were led by hundreds of volunteers in the days and weeks following Noble’s kidnapping. According to People, Moore apparently didn’t even leave. Her close friends were baffled as to why he never joined.

Speaking on The Vanished Podcast, Noble’s close friend Jeff admitted he was able to see through Moore’s account of the night she disappeared.

On September 16, 2020, Noble’s body was found hanging from a tree in a rural area not far from the couple’s home. Because her body was badly decomposed, they had to send her remains for a bone and strangulation examination.

People said Noble’s face and neck fractures indicated she had likely been strangled. Investigators also found that the scene in which she was found had been staged to make it appear that she had killed herself.

Investigators then concluded that her death had been staged as a suicide. She was wearing a USB cable around her neck when she was discovered.

The trial will focus, at least in part, on whether her death was in fact a suicide, according to court documents filed in the days leading up to the trial.

The testimony of an expert proves that suicide cannot be completely ruled out as the cause of death. When prosecutors found out about this, they asked the judge for more time so they could find an expert to challenge it. Although they asked for a stay, the judge denied their request.

Her request for a review of the verdict was also denied. About 14 months after the indictment against Moore, the trial began.

A jury tour – basically a field trip – was made by the jury members. Before going to the exact spot where Noble’s body was found in a neighboring wooded area, they first discovered the house where Moore and Noble lived. A real golf ball was used to mark the spot.

After the jury meeting, the jurors were released from their duties for the day.
