- A minimum of five (5) credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE), including English and Mathematics.
- Having a B.Sc., HND, NCE, or OND in the relevant fields from an accredited institution.

The History Behind UNIOSUN
In accordance with the University Establishment Law, which was approved by the State House of Assembly in December 2006 and was subsequently signed into law by His Excellency, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Osun State University (UNIOSUN) was founded by the Osun State Government.
Osun State University is now officially recognized as the 80th university in Nigeria and the 30th State University after the National Universities Commission evaluated the necessary paperwork.
The mission of Osun State University is to produce highly qualified, well-rounded, globally competitive, and entrepreneurial graduates who will serve as engines for the quick and sustainable socioeconomic development of Osun State and Nigeria.
The university is organized as a traditional, multi-campus institution. It will maximize the use of information and communication technologies in its teaching, learning, and research activities because it is intended to be a traditional university.
