Convener for Southern Christian Youth Leaders, Ambassador Ekiye Ekiye, Sunday called on Nigeria’s president- elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu, to bring on board young Nigerians who can add value to the new administration and serve the country with patriotism, passion and dignity.

He stated this in an interview with newsmen in Karu local government area of Nasarawa state.

He said so far, from the outcome of the 2023 general elections, not many young Nigerians won elective seats in the various elective posts contested for.

He said this was worrying as young Nigerians who are hardworking and passionate about contributing to the development of the country have no platform to do so.

Ekiye who is also the coordinator for Youth for Peace and Good Leadership Initiative also advised the incoming administration to prioritise the education sector by reviewing it into a productive educational system, not a liability educational system.

“So Tinubu should review our education system to become solution driven. We need people who will provide solutions for ways out of the challenges we face as a nation,” he said.

He also expressed hope that a southern Christian would be elected to serve as the next senate president given the fact that the president- elect, vice president-elect, are Muslims.
