The 30-year-old was abducted, and the Hawks reported that two males had been detained in connection with the incident and that an R2 million ransom had also been requested.

Although Police have detained two individuals concerning the abduction of a Gqeberha biokineticist, she is still missing.
On Thursday, Riana Pretorius was taken from Nelson Mandela Bay in broad daylight on one of the busiest streets in the neighborhood.
She was taken from outside a Newton Park medical office and put inside a white Toyota Corolla, which was found hours later. A weapon was taken into custody along with one suspect.
The South African claimed on Friday that police had made a second arrest in connection with the kidnapping and that an R2 million ransom demand had been issued to the family.
Pretorius is still missing, according to Captain Yolisa Mgolodela, the directorate for priority crime investigation’s (Hawks) provincial spokeswoman.

According to the Hawks, a two million ransom demand has been made in addition to the two suspects who have already been detained in connection with the kidnapping of Riana Pretorius.

Mgolodela claimed that although Riana is still missing, the Hawks successfully apprehended an armed suspect on Thursday afternoon and recovered the stolen vehicle.
Police located the vehicle and detained an armed man. Her friends and relatives have pleaded with people to pray for her safe return.
All law enforcement agencies are still on high alert, although it is unknown when the suspects will be charged and scheduled to appear in court.
Residents of Gqeberha and the surrounding areas are still sending prayers for her safe return.
