The Edo State government has fixed new dates for the conduct of the school certificate examinations earlier scheduled for March 2023. This is according to a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary in the Edo state Ministry of Education, Dr. Oni Ekhosuehi.
According to the statement, the 2023 Middle Basic Examination (MBE), otherwise known as Primary Six Certificate Examination, was rescheduled for May 6 2023 while the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), formerly known as Junior School Certificate Examination (JSCE), would run from May 2 to 5.
It was reported that the examinations were postponed due to the clash with the 2023 State House of Assembly election.
