6 Arrested in Shreveport for DWI within hours

Shreveport Police were busy arresting drunk drivers over the weekend. In fact, within a few hours, six people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

All of these arrests took place early Sunday morning.

The 1st Arrest

Sunday morning at 2am, 22 year old Kennedy Marshall was found asleep behind the wheel of her car at the 1200 block of South Pointe Drive. She was arrested and charged with once driving a vehicle while intoxicated.

The 2nd Arrest

Around 2:15 a.m. 34-year-old Alston Brooks was reportedly found asleep behind the wheel of a car parked at the curb of Elvis Presley Boulevard and Texas Street. He was arrested and charged with driving a vehicle while intoxicated.

The 3rd Arrest

Just 4 minutes later at 2:19, 29 year old Javeus Johnson was stopped for a traffic stop on Market Street in downtown Shreveport. Officers who approached him found that he appeared to be intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with once driving a vehicle while intoxicated.

The 4th Arrest

2:41 a.m. Sunday morning, 52-year-old Kenneth Jones was arrested after officers responded to an alarm going off at the 1300 block of Jewella Avenue. Arriving officers found a car involved in an accident and the airbags had deployed. Jones was reportedly drunk. He was arrested and charged with once driving a vehicle while intoxicated.

The 5th Arrest

52 years old Karl Warren was arrested at 3:31 a.m. Sunday morning. Officers were called to an accident in Block 6000 by Bert Kouns and when officers approached Warren he was reportedly intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with once driving a vehicle while intoxicated.

The 6th Arrest

Just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning, officers contacted the 27-year-old Leavern Johnson during a traffic delay on I-49. She appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested and charged with one count of operating a drunk vehicle.
