The Arise Television Governorship Debate is Currently Ongoing. The Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Valentine Ozigbo, the Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Charles Soludo, the Cadidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Charles Soludo are the frontline contenders and they will be debating on key problems/solutions to the problems plaguing the state.

The debate will be aired from 12pm to 3pm on Monday, November 1 (today) and the candidates will be facing critical questions about what they plan to do for the states and why they should be voted to succeed Governor Willie Obiano.

LIVE UPDATES FROM ANAMBRA GOVERNORSHIP DEBATE

On IPOB, all three candidates hinted that they will dialogue with the group. Mr Ozigbo said he will advocate for the release of Nnamdi Kanu and the de-proscription of the group. Mr Soludo said every option will be examined, including dialogue. Mr Uba also said dialogue was a route he was open to take.

Uba, just like Soludo, says he would declare a state of emergency on roads if he is elected governor.

Valentine Ozigbo of the PDP said Anambra deserves more than what it was getting from the APGA-led administration.

Uba and Soludo seem to have scores to settle. Both men wouldn’t stop hurling jibes at one another.

The former said Mr Soludo, despite serving in advisory capacity for various administrations, couldn’t advise the government on how to improve the roads in the state. “You were a senator,” Mr Soludo quipped, eliciting giggles from the audience.

On Health Care

Ubah said his administration will focus on developing three ‘Health Care Zones’. Also criticized the Obiano administration for not handling the COVID-19 Pandemic well

On Education

Soludo proposes Curricular review, a review of the curriculum to make it inline with the 21st century
