The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, and the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Cornelius Ojelabi, have emphasised the significance of the July 12 Local Government election in promoting grassroots development, while rallying support for the party’s candidates.
This was disclosed on Monday at the APC Lagos West 11 Mega Campaign Rally, tagged “One Voice, One Vision, One Victory”, held in Badagry.
Specifically, Hamzat stressed the importance of unity within the party, noting that, given the strides of the APC at both the federal and state levels, there is a need to consolidate these achievements by ensuring that the party’s candidates are elected.
“We must be proud because we have what to sell to the people. We are progressives, and we are doing well. We must come out en masse to support the party on July 12,” he said.
On his part, Ojelabi commended the leadership of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, noting their achievements in developing the state.
Ojelabi specifically mentioned the ongoing Lagos-Badagry Express Road and the General Hospital in Iyana-Oba as evidence of the government’s commitment to improving the lives of Lagosians.
He urged the people of Badagry to show appreciation for the government’s efforts by voting for APC candidates in the July 12, 2025, elections.
The APC chairman emphasised the importance of supporting the party’s initiatives, such as the Students Loan Scheme, which aims to provide access to education for Nigerian youths.
He urged party members and supporters to go out and mobilise their communities to vote for APC candidates.
Ojelabi expressed confidence in the party’s chances of winning the elections, citing the party’s track record of delivering development projects and good governance in Lagos State.
He urged the people of Badagry to support the government and the party’s candidates, thereby ensuring their victory in the elections.
