Popular Nigerian singer Nathaniel Bassey has reshared a video showing Milton Keynes Dons midfielder Daniel Patrick Crowley singing his song Jesus Iye during a spiritual retreat.
The viral clip shows Daniel holding a microphone as he sings Nathaniel’s song word for word, while some of his fellow footballers beat on tables like drums to cheer him on.
Reports revealed that Dan Crowley performed the song at the Ballers in God retreat as part of his initiation.
The Ballers in God retreat is an annual five-day event where professional footballers from all over Europe come together to strengthen their faith, build community, and refresh themselves spiritually and mentally before returning to their clubs and families.
Resharing the video on his social media page, Nathaniel Bassey made a funny comment about how Dan Crowley pronounced ‘Baba,’ a Yoruba word meaning Father.
“Many tags on this. Yes ooo… sing my people. Jesus all the way.. By the way, did He say “baba” or “paba” ? Repost from @ballersingod,” Nathaniel Bassey wrote in the caption.
