Veteran highlife musician Bright Chimezie recently shared a delightful video capturing his meeting with Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.
This encounter follows Davido’s earlier tribute to Chimezie, where he referred to the legendary artist as one of his greatest inspirations and extended an invitation to visit him in Lagos. Chimezie gladly accepted, and upon his arrival in the vibrant city, the two stars finally met.
In the video posted by Chimezie, the iconic singer can be seen dancing with joy upon seeing Davido, visibly thrilled to meet the younger star in person. He described the moment as deeply fulfilling, praising Davido and his crew for their warmth and hospitality.
The music legend expressed heartfelt appreciation for the warm reception he received, describing the entire experience as a “mini-concert.” He added that he made the most of the moment, even coining the term “ziggimatized” to describe how he lit up the atmosphere by singing and translating Igbo songs for Davido and his team.
