Seun Oloketuyi, the Chief Executive Officer of Best of Nollywood (BON), confirmed the heartbreaking news on Wednesday, May 14, sharing details of her unfortunate passing. Oloketuyi wrote, “Monalisa Ayobami Stephen, a talented brand influencer, has left us. She passed away yesterday in Lagos after her battle with low sugar levels and internal bleeding. Her younger sister has also confirmed this tragic loss.”
Monalisa Stephen was celebrated for her work as a plus-size model and her strong advocacy for body positivity. She also made her mark as a prominent media personality.
Her last Instagram post, dated April 29, 2025, featured a video of her joyfully dancing to the track “10 Kilo” by music star Davido, from his fifth studio album, 5ive.
