Kanye West is suing his former dentist for malpractice, alleging the medical practitioner is responsible for getting him hooked on Nitrous Oxide.
His wife is also included in the lawsuit.
“You repeatedly administered or supplied nitrous oxide (‘laughing gas’) and/or other sedative substances to Ye in quantities and frequencies that had no legitimate dental or medical justification,” the couple wrote in their intent to sue Dr. Thomas Connelly.
“Notably, you went so far as to deliver large ‘surgical-size’ nitrous oxide tanks to Ye’s personal residence (including the residence he shared with Ms. Censori), effectively enabling and encouraging him to inhale nitrous oxide outside of any medical setting.”

Ye says that he underwent cosmetic dental treatment from 2024 to 2025 and that the doctor got him addicted to the gas and left him “to fend for himself.”
Ye claims he was taught how to self-administer the drug and that even when Ye showed signs of overuse, including “exhibiting distressing neurological symptoms and erratic behavior,” he still discharged the rapper.
“As a result, in this instance, Ye suffered extreme mental and physical distress leading to urgent medical care,” the letter to Dr. Connelly continues. “Your actions and omissions were negligent, grossly negligent, and reckless, and some may have been intentional and malicious.”
It seems the couple are also blaming Dr. Connelly and Ye’s addiction on the breakdown of his marriage.
“Instead of enjoying a healthy married life, she was forced to witness Ye’s physical and mental distress and deterioration,” they continued, “and to assume the burden of caring for him under extremely distressing circumstances.”
