Much has changed since the cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore rose to fame in 2010, but the one thing that has remained the same and withstood the test of time is their close bond. Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Angelina Pivarnick, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Pauly “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Deena Nicole Cortese and Vinny Guadagnino will return to reality TV, this time for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 8.

Why Snooki Can’t Get Her Husband To Be On TV

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has been trying to get her controversial husband Jionni LaValle on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation for years.

Although there will be many happy moments as the fan favorites get together again to celebrate knowing each other for 15 years, a teaser for the latest season also shows that there will be tears. Part of the show will focus on Snooki reconnecting with her birth parents, and Sammi discussing her fertility struggles.

A highlight of this season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will focus on Snooki and how she is learning more about her birth parents. Although this is not the first time she has spoken publicly about being adopted when she was six months old, she has recently been in touch with her birth mother. “This is the first conversation with my birth mom,” she said in a trailer. “This is a huge step.” More about Snooki’s relationship with her birth mom will be revealed later this month because the show will not give too much away before the new season airs. However, this is an opportunity for fans to learn more about the reality star’s feelings surrounding her adoption.

Another storyline is Sammi’s fertility struggles as she reveals she would be willing to do “anything to have a kid at this point.” There has been an update to Sammi’s story, as she revealed on Instagram that she and her fiancé, Justin May, were expecting.

Mike The Situation’s TMI Confession Beats Any of Snooki’s Wildest Moments On Jersey Shore

MTV’s Jersey Shore is full of a lot of cringey moments, most from Snooki, but one of the worst goes to Mike ‘The Situation.’

In February, the couple posted a picture of themselves holding an ultrasound scan of their unborn child. In the caption, Sammi briefly touched on her fertility and excitement about becoming a mother later this year.

“We’ve been keeping a little secret. Baby May Due August 2025,” she wrote. “After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could ever possibly ask for! We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news of our little miracle with you all! Our hearts have never been so full of love, we can’t wait to meet you baby!”

In 2018, Snooki opened up about being adopted from Santiago, Chile. She was raised by her parents, Helen and Andrew Polizzi, who flew to Chile to fetch her and bring her home with them. They were good parents, as she said in a YouTube video (via People), it was meant to be, adding, “Things just work out that way—it’s called fate.”

What is the cringiest thing to happen on Jersey Shore?

During an episode of Jersey Shore, the group was visited by a group of people including Snooki’s friend Ryder. That fact led to a Jersey Shore scene that was so cringy that it was hard to watch without looking away. By the end of the night, Ryder hit it off with Pauly D and the duo decided to get up close and personal. However, Pauly D and Ryder weren’t able to get some alone time at first because an obviously jealous Deena Cortese wouldn’t leave them alone. Cortese even sat near the duo and watched them until it became clear her presence wasn’t going to stop them and she finally left.

In the same video, she informed fans why she didn’t speak about her adoption because she felt like her family is her family. She was also not initially curious about her birth parents (although this has since changed). “I never really thought, ‘What’s my birth mother like? What’s my birth family like?’ Because I’m so content with my adoptive parents and my adopted life and family,” she said. “But you know I thought about it once I started getting older, like, ‘What does my mom look like? What does my dad look like?'”

Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 8 returns to MTV on May 29, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET.
