Jumoke George's daughter returns to Nigeria

In an Instagram post, Biola said Adeola had been spotted in Mali, but was yet to speak to her mother and wasn’t picking up her calls.

Giving an update on the case, the chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri disclosed on Monday on her Twitter page that the actress’ daughter has returned to Nigeria. According to her, the commission received Adeola from Mali, where she was trafficked.

Adeola commended Biola Adebayo and Adeniyi Johnson for their humanitarian work.

“Breaking! Adeola, daughter of popular actress Jumoke George, who cried out that she had not heard from her daughter in four years, is back home from Mali, where she was trafficked. We just received her, with Biola Adebayo, who broke the story, and Niyi Johnson. Details later!”

In a video making the rounds online, the veteran was captured reuniting with her daughter. In the clip, an emotional Jumoke was seen sitting on the ground as she held her daughter tightly.

In an emotional interview with Biola Bayo, Jumoke revealed that she has been homeless for 5 to 6 years and has been living in her church. The movie star further opened up on her deteriorating health as she revealed that she has been in and out of the hospital since January 2nd, and now she is in debt. To make it worse, she had to undergo a brain and heart test and doesn’t have the money.

Reacting to the devastating news, Biola revealed that she couldn’t hold the pain, stating that the veteran desperately needs help.

Her colleague, Biodun Okeowo, had slammed a troll who faulted them for publicising the veteran’s condition. She explained to the troll that going public makes it faster to get urgent help and admonished the troll to focus on his life.

Late last year, Jumoke had recounted how she was rejected by her parents. She revealed that her decision to stay with her father rather than her mother after their divorce led her mother to abandon her, and her father’s new wife made her relationship with her father strained.
