Your Days Are Numbered In Politics – Natasha Akpoti Tells Akpabio, Bello Over INEC Decision

Senator Natasha Akpoti has slammed former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello.

This is as she applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after they rejected the petition to recall her process by the National Assembly.

Recall that INEC rejected the recall process by the National Assembly citing the petition’s failure to meet the constitutional requirements outlined in Section 69(a) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

In a post shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, INEC stated that the recall petition did not fulfill the necessary constitutional threshold, leading to its rejection.

“The petition for the recall of the Senator representing the Kogi Central Senatorial District has not met the requirement of Section 69(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended),” INEC wrote.

Senator Natasha has applauded INEC for their actions describing their decision as “for upholding justice, constitutionality and refused to bow to pressures from undemocratic elements.”

In a statement released, Natasha Akpoti said;

“God has put to shame anti-democratic forces plotting my recall from the Senate, including one of the most wanted persons by the EFCC, former governor Yahaya Bello.”

“Please bear it in mind that your days are numbered in politics because the new era has come when people will no longer reckon or identify with evil politicians whose trademark is not more than violence, rigging,and corruption.”
