“We are rewriting the rule book” – Iyabo Ojo elated as her first cinema movie hits N202 million

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has expressed excitement as her first cinema movie, Labake Olododo hits a huge milestone.

The mother of two revealed that her movie hit N202 million at the box office, making it the second Nollywood film to hit that milestone in 2025.

An excited Iyabo stated that Labake Olododo is rewriting the rule book as she appreciated Nigerians for the love and support.

Kemi Filani reported last month that Iyabo made her first cinema debut with the premiere.of her movie, Labake Olododo, at Imax Cinemas Lekki, which had in attendance many celebrities.

Expressing pride in her, Dayo Amusa noted how hard she worked on it. She stated that Iyabo’s dedication and discipline were visible to all, and she was proud of her. Dayo admonished Ojo to stand tall as she urged her fans to watch the movie.

Similarly, Funke Akindele had given it her stamp of approval. Also, at the movie premiere, Funke had commended Iyabo. She praised the actress for the movie’s aesthetics, visuals and all and congratulated her on her new feat. Funke told Iyabo it was her turn to shine and admonished her to break boundaries.

Following the premiere of her movie, Iyabo penned an appreciation post, stating that she was overwhelmed by the incredible show of love and support. She expressed how humbled she was by the massive turnout, enthusiastic response, and outpouring of love.

Labake Olododo is a Nollywood Indigenous story that explores deep themes of truth, faith, societal norms, and personal redemption.
