When Billy appeared on Young Sheldon for the first time, he appeared to be a one-time character who was there to show that Sheldon Cooper was tormented when he was young. As a result, there was absolutely no reason for fans to think that the character would show up again.

No matter how Billy was introduced to Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, he could then build a relationship with Georgie, Mandy, and all of the show’s other stars.

While it would be an exaggeration to try to claim that Billy was the heart of Young Sheldon, there is some truth to that kind of statement.

After all, after the character was fleshed out, Billy added a lot of heart to every scene he appeared in. A perfect example of that is the fact that Billy provided Raegan Revord’s Melissa “Missy” Cooper with a sounding board when she was upset.

At the end of the day, Wyatt McClure’s performance as Billy was underrated, and it would be great if fans got to see a lot more of it.

However, there is one main reason why Iain Armitage should never make regular Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage appearances.

As anyone who has watched Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory should know, there have been times when the franchise’s continuity has been extremely loose.

As a YouTube video shows, when the character Georgie appeared on The Big Bang Theory as portrayed Jerry O’Connell, he spoke about his history with his brother Sheldon. During The Big Bang Theory, Georgie stated he hadn’t spoken with Sheldon in a decade. Furthermore, Georgie also called out Sheldon for not being there for his family after their father died.

That scene between Georgie and Sheldon was one of The Big Bang Theory’s most emotional moments. Having Sheldon become a regular part of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage would completely undermine the scene and nobody should want that.
