Nollywood actress Omobolarinde Akinyanju, better known as Ashabi, has penned a heartfelt note following the premiere of her movie.
Kemi Fiani reported on Monday that while Portable was in detention, Ashabi premiered her new movie, The Deputy. The Yoruba actress was captured in viral videos making a grand entrance to her movie premiere with female bounders. Ashabi channelled her inner billionaire style as she held a walking stick and majestically walked into the venue with everyone cheering her.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she appreciated her fans at home and abroad for gracing the official launch of her movie and said their presence, love, and support meant the world to her.
Ashabi expressed her humbled response to the overwhelming turnout and the beautiful energy they brought with them. She noted that it wasn’t just a movie premiere but a celebration of art, culture, and storytelling.
The baby mama of Portable added that she appreciates every word of encouragement, post, and kind gesture they’ve shown throughout the journey. Their unwavering support continues to inspire her to do more and give her best in every project.
“Omobolarinde Akinyanju (Ashabi Simple), I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all my amazing fans, both at home and abroad, who took the time to grace the official launch of my movie, Deputy. Early this year, while revealing her New Year resolution, Ashabi made it known that she will be staying a lot of Nos this year as she wants to do jobs that she would be proud of and be happy doing. The mother of two noted how bills aren’t a joke as she questioned how she would be able to pay her bills if she worked for free.
Last year, Ashabi slammed a troll who labeled her a babymama while checking up on her. Giving the troll an update on her health status, she referred to the troll as barren.
The fast-rising Yoruba actress had, in another post, appealed to her Maker. She shared a video of her in tears, surrounded by her cast mates, as she expressed gratitude to her Maker for a successful project and noted how she cried and laughed, but God knows what her real feelings were.
