A former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the rejection of the political coalition by governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking during a meeting with a delegation of two political groups who visited him in Abuja, the two-time presidential candidate of the PDP said the coalition train has long moved.
In a post made on X, Atiku said he is building a pan-Nigerian coalition with some leaders across the nation.
According to Atiku, the coalition, a Nigerian Movement is being powered by citizens who desire to reclaim the nation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu.
“Yesterday, I met with a delegation of two groups, during which I briefed them about the status of the pan-Nigerian coalition that I am building in conjunction with other leaders and stakeholders across political divides and regions.
“I informed them that the Nigerian Movement is being powered by Nigerians desirous of reclaiming and rebuilding their country from across the nooks and crannies of our country.
“Indeed, the Coalition Train has left the station and would have multiple stops to bring on board Nigerians of all shades,” Atiku wrote on X.
He also said that since the birth of the coalition, his team has met with some members of the PDP in Nasarawa state.
The Nasarawa PDP delegation, Atiku said was led by Alhaji Jibirin Sabo Keana while the second team met with a delegation of National Opinion leaders, led by Yusuf Sheriff Banki.
