The All Progressives Congress (APC) Persons with Disabilities Support wing in Kano has kicked against the impending return of Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso to the ruling party.
The rejection came less than 24 hours after the Kano chapter of the party declared its willingness to accept the presidential candidate of New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) back into its fold.
The National Chairman of the ruling party, Dr. Abdullahi Usmar Ganduje broke the news of Kwankwaso’s plan to join APC, describing his erstwhile political ally as a general wandering around without troops.
Addressing journalists on Saturday in Kano, Chairman of APC special wing, Comrade Aminu Muazu Fagge, said members of the group are not pleased with the possible cross-carpeting of Kwankwasiyya leader to APC.
According to Fagge, the group arrived at the position because they believe Kwankwaso’s self-interest would undermine the party’s peace and success.
Fagge, however, reiterated his unwavering loyalty to the APC leadership under Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje and Hon. Abdullahi Abbas Sanusi, describing both as true embodiments of the party’s values and principles.
