The Traitors’ Parvati Shallow Knew More Than She Let On When She Talked About “Boston” Rob Mariano Being On The Show

During the first three seasons of The Traitors, fans of the reality show have been surprised in many ways, including by Tom Sandoval’s popularity. Viewers were also surprised by Tony Vlachos’ early exit, Bob the Drag Queen telling angry fans to “get over it”, and how poorly Dan Gheesling did as one of the Traitors. On the other hand, there have been some facts about the show that fans weren’t surprised by, like Alan Cumming earning new fans and the show having memorable players.

As The Traitors Season 3 was airing, Parvati Shallow was asked to comment on how “Boston” Rob would perform on the show. Unsurprisingly, after previously playing during The Traitors Season 2, Parvati had wise things to say about “Boston” Rob’s chances. However, the thing that might surprise some fans is the fact that it turns out that Parvati knew more about “Boston” Rob’s chances than they realized.

Parvati Shallow Knew More About “Boston” Rob Mariano’s The Traitors Fate Than Fans Realized

Since Survivor premiered, hundreds of people have competed on the wildly popular reality show. Of all those people, it can easily be argued that Parvati Shallow and “Boston” Rob Mariano are Survivor’s two most famous players.

As a result of their huge reputations, “Boston” Rob and Parvati were both been asked to compete in The Traitors and agreed. Parvati starred in The Traitors’ second season and “Boston” Rob was a huge part of Season 3.

When fans were watching “Boston” Rob on The Traitors each week, Parvati gave her insights on how he was playing the game. The thing that most The Traitors fans didn’t realize at that time, however, was that Parvati knew a lot more about how “Boston” Rob would do on the show than she let on.

During their Survivor tenures, Parvati and “Boston” Rob played during two of the same seasons. On top of that, the two Survivor Hall of Famers have also clearly spent a good amount of time around each other.

Given her shared past with “Boston” Rob and the fact that she played The Traitors earlier, Parvati clearly had insights into how he would play that game. As a result, Parvati was asked for her opinions on what “Boston” Rob would do on The Traitors during several interviews.

What fans couldn’t know at the time was that Parvati made those comments was that she definitely had a very good idea of how “Boston” Rob did on The Traitors.

In December 2024, Peacock’s YouTube channel released a trailer for the show’s third season. That trailer gave fans of the show a lot to be excited about since it provided the first footage of the season’s truly incredible cast.

Throughout The Traitors’ history, as of March 2025, there have been several figures who’ve shown up in every season. Those figures include Alan Cummings, Lala the Dog, John “Fergus” Ritchie, and Kate Chastain.

With all the excitement about The Traitors’ third season cast, a single shot of two returning figures was quickly forgotten by some. The trailer revealed that Parvati and Kate Chastain, who competed during The Traitors’ first two seasons, would both appear.

At around the one-minute and thirty-second mark of the trailer, Parvati and Kate could be seen walking toward the camera wearing epic dresses.

Ultimately, Parvati and Kate appeared during the ninth episode of The Traitors’ third season. The two reality TV icons then played a role during an excursion as they made several announcements to the players who were hoping to make money.

At face value, it was simply exciting that Parvati was back on The Traitors, appearing alongside Kate and Alan. However, most fans don’t seem to have noticed that Parvati’s The Traitors Season 3 cameo cast her remarks about “Boston” Rob in a very different light.

Even though he lasted longer during The Traitors Season 3 than many people expected, “Boston” Rob was banished during the seventh episode. As a result, “Boston” Rob was already gone by the time that Parvati made her cameo appearance.

Thanks to her The Traitors Season 3 cameo, Parvati knew for sure that “Boston” Rob would be gone early, at least by the time there were eight players last. With that in mind, when Parvati was predicting how “Boston” Rob would perform on The Traitors, she had a lot more information than many viewers realized.

What Did Parvati Shallow Say About “Boston” Rob Mariano Competing On The Traitors?

During several interviews over the last few months, Parvati Shallow has made comments about “Boston” Rob Mariano competing on The Traitors. During some of those interviews, Parvati made comments that likely wouldn’t be influenced by her knowing “Boston” Rob didn’t last too long.

On January 23rd, 2025, Decider’s YouTube channel uploaded a clip from when they interviewed Parvati at that time. That footage showed Parvati expressing her insights about why “Boston” Rob betrayed Bob the Drag Queen and got him banished. During that clip, Parvati stated that “Boston” Rob was never going to let Bob the Drag Queen have control over the game.

Rob is not gonna let someone else run the show. And Bob the Drag Queen was a big personality.

During the same clip, Parvati gave an example of how much control Bob the Drag Queen was wielding before he was banished. “[Bob the Drag Queen] was trying to take the lead in the turret. We saw him kind of shutting down Carolyn and other people.”

It is hard to see how those comments could have been affected by Parvati’s knowledge that “Boston” Rob was eliminated relatively early during The Traitors.

On the other hand, there are comments that Parvati made publicly that easily could have been influenced by her knowledge that “Boston” Rob didn’t win The Traitors.

In January 2025, Parvati spoke to People about how The Traitors Season 3’s cast may handle playing the game with “Boston” Rob. During that discussion, Parvati expressed her opinion that “Boston” Rob might be targeted in the game.

“I do think they might try to target Rob because Rob can’t be a backseat driver. He can’t even be a passenger. He has got to drive the car, and it’s got to be a big car that goes too fast and goes where he wants it to go.”

Based on Parvati’s history with “Boston” Rob, it makes perfect sense that she would make that comment based on how he played Survivor. That said, knowing “Boston” Rob was eliminated relatively early made it easier for Parvati to predict he would be targeted.
