Southern Charm Season 10 began with a very surprising friendship between Venita Aspen and controversial cast member Jarrett “JT” Thomas. As the season went on, viewers saw that the two had a much deeper connection, with Venita clearly showing interest in JT.
JT saw himself in several heated moments with his cast mates this season, including a rumor that he called Patricia Altschul a derogatory word, which he claimed to be untrue. Venita stood by JT’s side when his other cast mates wouldn’t. After the season’s finale episode, it was learned that Venita and JT had entered into a relationship, but that ended when she saw him with another woman on Instagram.
Venita had not spoken to JT since their split sometime in late 2024, but she did get the chance to finally address it all in the upcoming Season 10 reunion. In fact, Venita is over JT and has admitted to having her eye on someone working in Hollywood.

Southern Charm star Venita Aspen did not get her fairy tale ending with Jarrett “JT” Thomas. However, it looks like the reality TV star is ready to move on after admitting to sliding into the DMs of a very famous actor.
After the finale episode of Southern Charm aired on March 20th, Venita appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen where she confessed that while she was single, she was very ready to mingle, even making the first move on someone she found very attractive.
After stating that she was not dating anyone, she told Andy, “There is a man that is on NBC that I have my eye on.”
Venita continued, “He’s on Chicago P.D. I just found him a couple of weeks ago and I think he’s handsome.” After Andy suggested that she “hit him up,” the fashion influencer revealed she already had. “Oh, I slid into his DMs and I said, ‘It’s so funny we work for the same network, but we never ran into each other.’ I got a follow and a response.'”
Venita did not state who the Chicago P.D. star was, but Us Weekly did some investigation and learned that she began following actor LaRoyce Hawkins, who has portrayed Kevin Atwater on the show since 2014. The outlet also reported that he also follows her back!

The Southern Charm Season 10 finale ended with a two-month update where it was revealed that Venita and JT began dating. However, their relationship took a turn when Venita saw a photo of JT with another woman on his Instagram.
While speaking to Andy on WWHL, Venita shared that she learned about the other woman like everyone else did, scrolling through her social media account. “That was hard, like I saw it at the same time as everyone else saw it and like, I got a phone call from Rodrigo and he was like, ‘Hey are you okay?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, what’s up?’ He was like, ‘You didn’t see what JT just posted?’ … I saw it, and I just I didn’t know how to react.”
“I was angry, sad, disappointed, confused.”
In an interview with Us Weekly, Venita set a better timeline of when she started dating JT. “We started dating when I got back from New York in September [2024]. It was from September, October, November.” She also shared that during that time, they were both trying to navigate if the relationship was the right thing for them as they were close friends at first.
“Trying to figure out, ‘OK, are we doing this? Do we actually like each other? Is it because we’re around each other all the time?’”
In a previous interview on Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap podcast in January, Venita confirmed she dated JT for a short time, but then “boom, everything crashed down in front of me,” when he “popped up with a girlfriend on Instagram.” That girl would be Ali Pereless.
Although their romance ended abruptly, Venita surprisingly shared good things about JT while appearing on WWHL. Venita admitted that their time together “was the most fun I had in a long time.” When asked to describe him “as a lover,” she said,
“Sweet, compassionate, and caring.”

Venita Has Fully Stepped Back From Their Friendship
In Venita’s interview with the Housewives Nightcap podcast, she shared that after his Instagram post, he fell “off the face of the earth” and that she had not spoken to him since the Season 10 trailer premiered in October 2024.
In fact, fans will remember that JT announced before the show’s premiere that he quit the show mid-season, but backpedaled on his resignation as he’s been seen throughout the season and took part in the season’s reunion.
Venita also shared with Entertainment Tonight that she had hoped JT would attend the Season 10 reunion so she could get the real truth from him. It’s believed to be the first time the two interacted with each other since he totally ghosted her.
“I’m doing my best to try not necessarily say too much about the situation…because there’s still, unfortunately, I have a very small, I think it’s about this big maybe size of a mustard seed, I want to hear what he has to say,” she told the outlet.
In her WWHL interview, Venita and Andy agreed that JT was “grilled at the reunion,” with the former admitting that she wished there was more “grilling.”
Additionally, Venita did not see JT as a “gentleman at the moment.”
The two-part Southern Charm Season 10 reunion airs on Thursday, March 27 at 8 p.m. ET and on Thursday, April 3 at the same time.
