Before Southern Charm Season 10 premiered, Jarrett “JT” Thomas announced that he had quit the show mid-season. It came as a shock to fans, with the reality TV star not giving an exact reason for his departure. With the season now nearing its end, viewers continue to see JT, who even decided to go on the cast trip to the Bahamas. In fact, JT also took part in filming the reunion.
Although it appears that JT has finished filming Season 10, it has not been smooth sailing for him as he continues to get eviscerated by his cast mates for butting into their relationships and allegedly calling Patricia Altschul the b-word.
After watching an intense Episode 12 of the show, JT took part in a fan Q&A, and talked openly and honestly about regretting how he handled his TV exit and if he may be back for a future season.

JT Thomas Shared That He Had Quit The Show Mid-Season In An Instagram Post Before The Season 10 Premiere
Jarrett “JT” Thomas is “walking back his resignation” after admitting he deeply regrets how he announced his departure from Southern Charm. In a February 28th fan Q&A, JT apologized to his fans and even his cast mates for how he decided to address quitting the show in an Instagram post.
“I wanted to apologize because I made a public resignation from a really special opportunity and I let down, you know, a lot of people work really hard … and so, I want to apologize. It was bad form to publicly resign like that. I will be at the reunion.”
He continued, “I’m sorry to my castmates, and it might sound weird after an episode like that to apologize, but that’s just not a good look. It was in bad form and that was not how I was raised, and that’s not what the fans want.”
JT was referring to Episode 12 of the latest season, in which he travels to the Bahamas to be with his co-stars. During a group dinner, JT gets attacked by Craig Conover, Austen Kroll, and Salley Carson, for his actions earlier in the season, which included calling Salley a homewrecker, speaking negatively about Austen’s relationship, and possibly calling Miss Patricia a b*****. JT kept his composure during the dinner, but he ended up leaving and even traveled back home the next day, having only made amends with Madison.
It was in November that JT announced his resignation from the show. In a statement on Instagram, he wrote:
“I informed Bravo that I will not be participating in the 2-3 remaining green room interviews remaining before [season 10] airs,” he wrote at the time, adding, “I no longer wish to participate any ways moving forward with the TV show. I will leave it at that for now while I work on next steps to recover both physically and mentally from what has been an extremely challenging & exhausting year.”
However, it seems that with only a few episodes remaining of Season 10, JT continued to film. He also confirmed that he did take part in the reunion.

JT Thomas Revealed That The Season 10 Reunion Was Not “Easy”
JT Thomas Teased Fans That He Might Return To The Show
During JT’s Q&A, he revealed that he completed filming the season thanks to people at the network who “sat me down,” and took part in the reunion, but admitted that it was not “easy.”
“And so, I do finish, and I did the reunion, and I feel good about it. I feel like that was the right thing to do and I’m so glad … And as much as stuff still needs to get unpacked on me and my situation and my personal life, which is going to come forward over the next few weeks, it feels good to just, it feels cathartic to just come out and say something, And I’ll leave it at that.”
With JT confirming that he had taken back his resignation, a fan asked the star if he would likely participate in another season.
“I think right now it’s let’s finish this season and one day at a time.”
Although JT’s answer was not what fans had hoped for, it did seem like he was open to being a part of Season 11.
“It’s like, beautiful people in beautiful places and it’s, like, you’re doing cool stuff, and it would be so hard to like not continue and keep trying to grow, you know. So, let’s finish this season and let’s see what happens. But I think for right now, I’m not going to make any decisions,” he shared.
When Salley appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen after the premiere of Episode 12, she was asked “who was in the hot seat the most” during the Season 10 reunion. She answered, “JT and Craig.” However, that’s not surprising as JT is seen having the most setbacks with his cast mates this season.

Will JT And Venita Make Amends At The Reunion?
Viewers were not expecting JT and Venita to have such a strong bond this season. In fact, the two admitted to having strong feelings for one another, but could not act upon them as JT revealed that he was seeing someone. However, as viewers saw in later episodes, that did not stop Venita from having JT’s back and seeing the good in him, while the rest of the cast questioned his motives.
But, in an interview with Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap podcast, Venita revealed that she and JT dated sometime before the trailer for Season 10 premiered, and added that they became “thick as thieves” during the summer of 2024. She was shocked when he stopped communication with her once the trailer dropped.
“Like, it was like one day like I was supposed to be going to lunch with his mom and him and, like, hang out. The trailer drops and then you know he starts acting crazy and falls off the face of the earth,” she shared.
Venita also revealed that not only was she “ghosted” by him, “he popped up with a girlfriend on Instagram.”
In an earlier interview with ET, Venita expressed that after JT shared his online resignation, he had “kind of gone rogue and silent, and he’s not speaking to anyone, [and] has made the sad decision to step away. So hopefully he shows up to the reunion to kind of clear up this mess.”
Venita also shared that she wanted to hear JT out at the reunion. During his Q&A, JT was adamant that he would not discuss his relationship with Venita, so it appears that fans are going to have to wait to see what happens between them when the reunion airs.
