Fashionista Julia Fox walked this year’s carpet in a revealing dress that highly resembled Kanye West’s wife, Bianca Censori’s look at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Interestingly, Julia dated the rapper for a short time in 2022. Was she inspired by Bianca’s see-through dress or trying to take her on in style?

Julia Fox is known for experimenting with fashion, so it wasn’t exactly shocking to see her in another ensemble that turned heads. At the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Julia walked the carpet wearing a see-through dress in which long strands of hair were strategically placed to cover her private parts.

According to Page Six, the artist wore a design by Dilara Fındıkoğlu, which “channeled Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus.” However, it seemed that she more or less channeled Bianca Censori’s naked dress at the 2025 Grammys.

Is wearing next to nothing the latest trend? Or was Julia inspired by Bianca’s shocking Grammys look? Either way, Julia looked stunning in the naked gown. However, just a month ago, when Bianca stepped out with Ye on the red carpet for the music award show, the Yeezy head of architecture removed her fur coat (instructions given by Ye), and wore a see-through dress. Unlike Julia, Bianca went fully nude, with nothing covering her private areas.

It’s also worth noting that Julia and Kanye briefly dated, though it was more of a ‘blink, and you’ll miss it’ moment.

“This is art. She nailed it,” a comment read on an InStyle Magazine Instagram post of Julia’s look. “There’s nothing sexual about nudity it’s beautiful and she’s clearly showing how she is a muse and as a fellow Aquarius I respect and love her muse abilities like I respect and love my own work as a muse 👏👏”

Of course, Julia also faced backlash for going nude at such a prestigious event, with commenters even comparing her to Bianca.

“So vulgar and distasteful,” a comment read. “Why wasn’t she canceled like @biancacensori,” another follower wrote.

Others even poked fun at her ensemble, “It’s giving hair on the shower curtain.”

Julia Fox Briefly Dated Kanye West In 2022, The Same Year The Rapper Wed Bianca Censori

Julia and Kanye dated for a mere six weeks between January and February 2022. The two broke up on Valentine’s Day with Julia expressing in an interview with the Evening Standard that there were “unresolved issues” that Ye was facing that ultimately led the Uncut Gems star to end their relationship.

“It was just like, he still wants to hang out with me today, let’s do it. And then real life set in and the lifestyle wasn’t sustainable. I couldn’t fly away once a week. And I tapped out at the first sign of a red flag,” she shared.

Additionally, she said, “It just seems like he had a lot to work on, and I just don’t have time for it, or energy. I don’t have the bandwidth or emotional capacity for it. I’m proud of myself for that. Pre-Valentino [Julia’s son] Julia would have definitely stuck it out and been there for longer.”

Julia was previously married to Peter Artemiev from November 2018-February 2020. However, they welcomed a son named Valentino the following year.

Around that time, the rapper was dealing with his divorce from Kim Kardashian, including challenging her request to be declared legally single. Their divorce proceedings also took a toll when Ye released the music video for his song “Eazy,” which depicted a claymation of Kim’s then-boyfriend Pete Davidson in disturbing positions. The former couple finalized their divorce in November 2022.

Ye secretly married Bianca Censori just a month after his divorce from Kim was finalized. However, the couple have since been plagued with divorce rumors.

Julia Fox Revealed Ye Controlled Her Wardrobe When They Were Dating

When Julia began dating Ye, she shared with Interview that the rapper surprised her with “an entire suite full of clothes.”

“It was every girl’s dream come true. It felt like a real Cinderella moment. I don’t know how he did it, or how he got all of it there in time. But I was so surprised. Like, who does things like this on a second date? Or any date!” Julia said.

In the same interview, the artist stated that she was Ye’s “muse” and that “his energy is so fun to be around.” However, a source for Page Six stated that Kanye was doing what he did with Kim by changing her appearance, something he has since gotten a reputation for doing with the women he dates.

“Kanye’s doing with Julia what he did to Kim. He’s controlling what she wore — making sure she appears as the set image that he has in his mind.”

Interestingly, a year after their split, Julia detailed in her 2023 memoir, Down the Drain, that Ye did, in fact, take power over her fashion choices, adding that he “appoint[ed] a team to work on [her] wardrobe.”

“I watch powerless as my life shrinks to fit inside cardboard boxes [with] the new clothes he got me,” Julia wrote.
