Exclusive: Deal Or No Deal Island's Parvati Shallow Chooses Between David Genat Or Dickson Wong Winning

There are many reasons why Deal or No Deal Island is such a great reality show that it is one of Peacock’s best shows. For example, Joe Manganiello’s stellar work as the show’s host and Seychelle Cordero being hilariously blunt has made DONDI a must-see show. Another huge element in DONDI’s success has been the Dr. Will Kirby effect since even his deleted scenes are hilarious and his feud against “The Family” was epic.

Seeing Dr. Will and Parvati Shallow feud and the Big Brother icon confronting David Genat amid their “golden gods” feud was great, but it was “The Family” that ran the show. With that in mind, it is fascinating to know that Parvati exclusively told TheThings whether she would choose David or Dickson to win the show if she could.

Parvati Shallow Would Choose David Genat Over Dickson Wong To Win Deal Or No Deal Island

Throughout Parvati Shallow’s reality show career, she has repeatedly proven that she is amazing at creating strong alliances. When Parvati competed during Deal or No Deal Island Season 2, she yet again proved that she is still extremely skilled at crafting powerful alliances.

Of course, Deal or No Deal Island fans will know that Parvati co-founded “The Family” alliance with David Genat and Dickson Wong. While Maria-Grace “M.G.” Cook and Courtney “C.K.” Kim became ancillary members of “The Family,” it was clear that Parvati, David, and Dickson were the core group.

Ultimately, Dickson was eliminated from the game before Parvati or David. As a result, Parvati never had to choose between her top two allies during the game. However, Parvati exclusively told TheThings that she would have chosen David over Dickson to win the game if it was up to her.

In March 2025, TheThings journalist Matthew Thomas exclusively spoke to Parvati Shallow about her Deal or No Deal Island experience.

During that conversation, Parvati was asked if she would pick David or Dickson to win DONDI if it was up to her. Without missing a beat, Parvati revealed that she would choose David to win Deal or No Deal Island Season 2.

I would pick David to win.

Of course, the most obvious follow-up question to Parvati choosing David to win over Dickson is very simple. Why?

While speaking exclusively to TheThings, Parvati didn’t have to be asked why she would want David to win over Dickson. Instead, Parvati immediately began revealing the mentality that she had for choosing David over Dickson.

When Parvati Shallow was interviewed exclusively by TheThings in March 2025, she revealed how different Deal or No Deal Island and Survivor are. “They couldn’t be more different. They’re similar as a viewer to watch. But Deal or No Deal Island is very kind of quantum. It feels very cosmic and sort of spiritual. And Survivor to me is a strategic social. It’s much more grounded. It’s much more linear. You’re, like, working on the alliances that you’re working on to get the numbers. You have security with numbers and alliances and loyalty.”

While explaining her answer, Parvati explained that she adores Dickson multiple times.

Dickson, I loved him like he was my baby boy.

After expressing her affection for her young ally to TheThings, however, Parvati revealed that Dickson was cold-blooded in the game.

“But in the very beginning of the game, $1 Luke, who played the first game, he loved Dickson. Luke came up to me, and he was like, ‘”You gotta protect Dickson at all costs.’ And he loved Dickson. Then Luke goes home, and Dickson has no compassion for Luke. He’s like, ‘He dug his own grave.'”

Parvati went on to further explain how cutthroat Dickson could be in the game.

According to Parvati, Luke Olejniczak gave Dickson a keep-sake before he was eliminated since he liked him so much.

While speaking exclusively to TheThings in March 2025, Parvati Shallow made it clear that she would have been happy if David Genat or Dickson Wong won. “I would have been happy if it was David or Dickson too because we were The Family. Like, Dickson is coming here for the finale. He’s gonna stay at my house. We’re gonna go bowling with him and M.G. You know, I’m still close with them, which is rare and is so fun. It feels like an extra kind of gift from DONDI.”

However, Parvati says that Dickson threw the item that Luke gave him away. As a result, Parvati explained to TheThings that she never trusted Dickson like she did David.

“Luke gave Dickson a bracelet, and was like, ‘This is for you. Go get him. Good luck.’ And Dickson’s like, ‘I don’t want this.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my god. This kid has ice in his veins.’ I adored Dickson. I loved him like a son, but, also, I didn’t trust him the way that I trusted David. “

The Survivor legend also explained her choice to TheThings by stating that she was closer with David than Dickson throughout the game.

“I didn’t move through the game with Dickson. David was my male foil, like, my counterpart. If David’s not there, I’m not doing as well as I did in the game. You know? If Dickson’s not there, I think I’d have been okay. So just for the sheer fact that we worked together in such close partnership the whole game, I would probably give it to him.”

Finally, Parvati explained with a smile on her face why David needed the money more that Dickson. “He has four kids. He’s got a lot of house.”

Parvati Shallow Told TheThings That She Was Fighting To Win Deal Or No Deal Island Over Her Closest Allies

When Parvati Shallow spoke exclusively to TheThings in March 2025, she expressed how happy David Genat or Dickson Won winning DONDI would have made her. Despite that, anyone who thinks that Parvati has gone soft and would give up the chance to win to her allies is extremely wrong.

When TheThings asked her if she would choose herself as DONDI’s winner over David or Dickson, Parvati didn’t even pause for a second. Instead, Parvati instantly stated she would have fought to win the game herself.

“I always play to win. If I make real relationships and real bonds and friendships, I’m so happy about that because that doesn’t happen every time I play. But my goal is to win because I’m like, there’s millions of dollars on the line.”

After explaining that she would always fight to win, Parvati revealed a special reason why she feels compelled to take home reality show prizes. As she explained exclusively to TheThings, she wouldn’t take extensive time away from her young daughter if she wasn’t fighting to win a prize.

“This is, like, a month away from my daughter. I have to set up a lot to be able to leave. And it’s hard to leave my kid for a month without communication. She’s young. So I’m like, ‘I wanna make it count.’ So in the end, I would have definitely chosen myself to win over anybody.”

Parvati having special motivation to win reality shows is likely to make her even more of a threat whenever she competes on one.
