As Bachelorette Jenn Tran Heads Back To School, What Does That Mean For Her Relationship With Sasha Farber?

The Bachelorette Season 21’s Jenn Tran was left heartbroken after contestant Devin Strader decided to call off their engagement just two months after her proposal on the show’s finale. However, her life completely changed just minutes after filming After the Final Rose, when she learned she would join the Season 33 cast of Dancing With the Stars.

Jenn met her partner, Sasha Farber, at the airport and the pair hit it off. Although they did not win the competition series, they formed a tight friendship that developed into something more, with Jenn even living in Los Angeles at Sasha’s home for a lengthy period of time after the show.

However, Jenn returned to normalcy this year when she decided to head back to school to earn her physician’s assistant degree. Something she was working on before she became The Bachelorette. But, that also meant she had to leave Sasha after getting her own apartment in Miami. Will their relationship withstand long-distance?

The Bachelorette’s Jenn Tran Is Back Living A Normal Life As She Finishes PA School In Miami

Jenn Tran is no longer “sleeping on Sasha Farber’s couch” after she decided to head back to Miami to complete her schooling. Jenn had to put her dreams of being a physician’s assistant on hold when she became Season 21’s The Bachelorette in 2024. That dream was pushed back further when she competed on Dancing With the Stars that same year.

Now that Jenn is living a much more normal life away from reality television, she decided to head back to school this year. Jenn had been working towards obtaining her PA degree at Barry University in Miami.

Tran was a physician assistant student after she graduated from UW-Madison in 2020, with a bachelor of science in molecular biology.

In a video on Instagram uploaded in March, Jenn shared that she was “starting a new chapter” in her life.

“Get ready with me in my new apartment in Miami! Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. Yes, I’m in Miami in my new apartment because I am going back to my normal life. I am a PA student again. I am very, very happy,” she shared.

“Let’s be transparent. I took a year off of PA school and it’s been so incredible. Who would have thought I would have said that, but my life has truly turned around. However, I know where my passions lie in life and that’s with helping people. PA school is something that I’ve always dreamed of doing and completing. I only have a year left, so I knew in my heart that I had to go back.”

“When I found this apartment, I immediately moved apartments, but everything was still boxed up here and now it’s been a couple of days and everything here is still a hot mess. It feels very bittersweet to be back because I love L.A. so much and I want to move there one day, so this apartment in Miami is very temporary right now.”

In a follow-up Instagram video, Jenn, in her blue scrubs, shared that she was heading to her first shift where she would be working in the ER, which was the same area she was working in before she began filming The Bachelorette. Fans Love Seeing Jenn Pursuing Her True Passions After Her Reality TV Stint

Fans of Jenn’s journey on both The Bachelorette and Dancing With the Stars were happy to see her going back to school to complete her degree. While being a content creator and influencer would probably pay the bills, Jenn didn’t want to waste years of hard work and schooling, since being a PA was always her dream.

A Reddit thread that shared Jenn’s school news saw multiple commenters proud of her for not giving up her passions of being a PA.

Of course, Bachelor Nation fans know that Jen began her Bachelor journey on Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor. Jenn was eliminated in Week 7, before hometown dates. Her Bachelorette journey, in which she made history as the first Asian-American in the lead role, would also be filled with heartbreak. Devin decided to end their nearly two-month engagement over the phone. Since then, he’s been declared “the most hated man in America.”

On DWTS, Jenn and Sasha were shockingly eliminated during the Halloween Nightmares episode, in October 2024.

Jenn And Sasha Farber Are Not Defining Their Relationship

As Jenn now calls Miami home, how will it bode for her relationship with Sasha as he resides in Los Angeles? Thankfully, Jenn is completing one last final year of PA school. Also, the former reality TV star shared in the aforementioned Instagram video that her move to Miami was “temporary,” adding, “I love L.A. so much, I want to move there one day.”

Sasha began competing on Dancing With the Stars in Season 17. He has since competed in 12 seasons, which also includes DWTS Athletes and DWTS Juniors. He has yet to win a mirrorball trophy.

In February, Jenn told People that she and Sasha are not defining their relationship. Will Jen being so far from Sasha be the ultimate test of the strength of their relationship?

“We are taking life one day at a time and we’re not in any rush to define anything or put anything out there. We are just having fun and enjoying the moment that we’re in,” she shared.

Since then, the couple, who really have not confirmed or denied a relationship in interviews, traveled together to London, England, where they celebrated Valentine’s Day together.

“What can I say, Happy Valentine’s Day to this one, you continue to make me laugh everyday here is the proof,” Sasha captioned an Instagram video of Jenn fooling around in a London store.

It wasn’t until the end of February where the two hinted that they where in fact dating. Sasha shared a photo of the two holding each other’s hands during a car ride. He simply captioned it, “Nothing but open Road!!!” In the comment section, Jenn teased, “Who is she I want to know the big reveal.”

Jenn and Sasha Farber kept the status of their relationship a mystery throughout their time on Season 33 of Dancing With the Stars. However, the former Bachelorette would tease fans that the two were romantically involved in numerous TikTkoks. They continued to fuel more romance rumors when she lived at his house for a time before heading back to school.

So, while Jenn navigates normalcy, here’s hoping she and Sasha find a way to navigate a long-distance relationship for the time being.
