Love Is Blind Season 8 Episode 6 Recap: We're Not Really Strangers

The in-person reveals are in full swing on Love Is Blind. The Season 8 cast members of the reality show are down to the wire.

Some of the individuals choose to get engaged to the stranger on the other side of the wall. For others, however, they don’t feel they have the commitment they need from their top choice, and some pack up and head home just as single as they started.

Mason Makes A Mess

We pick up with Mason trying to save face with Meg, telling her that she’s always been his #1 even though she knows that’s not true. “I didn’t feel affirmed by you,” Meg tells him, referring to their past dates in the pods when she knew he was more interested in Madison. In the end, Meg tells him that she can’t take him at his word, so when he tells her he loves her, she doesn’t believe him. “I just can’t get past that,” she admits to him.

That said, Meg is gracious with him. Instead of telling him to feel sorry, she encourages him to grow from the experiment:

I think you leave knowing, ‘Work on expressing how I feel so people don’t have to question [it].’ I think we’ll both do great things in life and find great people.

With that, Mason heads home from the experiment without a fiancée.

Some Love Is Blind Season 8 Cast Members Were Previously On Season 7 — Here’s How

Chances are you’ve already gotten a sneak peek at the new cast.

Next, we catch up with Daniel and Taylor, who have each written the other a love letter without coordinating. “I needed you to pick me,” Daniel says before getting down on one knee and proposing to Taylor, who readily accepts. Before we see their reveal, though, we get Lauren and David’s first. They both admit that seeing each other for the first time is “crazy,” but that they think the next steps of their relationship will be a lot of fun.

Most importantly, David tells the cameras he can tell that Lauren wasn’t trying to imagine what he looked like, and that she truly loves him for him. Meanwhile, Devin reads a heartfelt letter to Virginia, thanking God for bringing them together. He proposes to Virginia, and she accepts — perhaps surprising viewers, who up until now may have thought he’d be going for Brittany.

Alex Axes His Connection

After that, we see Alex and Madison on a date, and they discuss Mason trying to go back to Meg after Madison broke up with him, with Madison noting that he should “know better” than to treat people that way. Madison gets slightly frustrated with Alex when he defends Mason, saying it makes her own feelings seem invalid.

Alex points out his one remaining concern for their relationship is a lack of communication, to which Madison responds that she can’t make promises they’ll never have issues:

I can’t sit here and promise you that we’ll never disagree on anything or fight about things, but I think how you choose to stay and how you choose to work it out is the biggest thing.

Madison is upset to hear Alex say that he’s still not ready to get engaged, and she leaves crying, returning to the women’s quarters and saying she’s going to head home.

Later, Devin and Virginia have their reveal, and he thanks his new fiancée for never judging him. He’s so excited to see her that he says he can’t wait to call his mom and tell her about Virginia. They’re followed shortly thereafter by Alex and Taylor’s reveal, and Alex tells the cameras that Taylor is “the most beautiful girl” he’s ever met.

That said, later Taylor tells the cameras that, during their reveal, she had an “overwhelming feeling” that it wasn’t the first time Alex had ever seen her. With that, she drops a bombshell, saying that she was “fairly certain” he’d followed her on Instagram not long before the show. Her account has lots of personal information on it, meaning Alex would have been able to identify her in the pods.

When she confronts him about it, even describing his photo on his account, he outright denies it. “It just really scares me,” Taylor tells him, but before he can respond, the episode cuts off.
