Gillie Da Kid is speaking out about the death of his son, YNG Cheese.
According to Gillie, Cheese, real name Devin Spady, was fatally shot by a 17-year-old named Noah Scurry.
Gillie told Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay that he had never met the teen, but the police officers informed him of his identity and of his subsequent death.
“The kid had just got shot 17 times. He was walking with his mom, and he got murdered. And then the police notified me and let me know that he was one of the kids that was pretty much about to get locked up for the murder, but he got murdered first,” he told Sharpe.
“That’s who killed my son. Yeah, the 17-year-old basketball player that just got shot 17 times, that’s who killed my son,” he continued.
According to Philadelphia Police, the teenager was shot and killed in what appeared to be a targeted shooting around 7 a.m. January 14, in an alleyway. Approximately 20 shots were fired. Police reports confirmed that he was gunned down in front of his mother.
Gillie said Scurry was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
