The Nigeria Police Force on Thursday, January 23, 2025, announced that the wife of the former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu who was kidnapped by some gunmen has been rescued.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi in a post on his X page made the disclosure.
Adejobi also said that the abductors of the former AIG’s wife were killed during the rescue operation by men of the Nigeria Police Force.
He added that ransom was recovered from the suspected criminals during the operation.
He said, ” The IGP has commended the Police Operatives and CP Ogun State, Lanre Ogunlowo, for a good job. We are committed to safeguarding Nigerian citizens and our dear country.”
Recall that the former AIG’s wife was abducted by some gunmen at the entrance of her Arepo, Ogun residence last Thursday.
