Maria Georgas was a fan favorite when she appeared in Joey Graziadei’s season as The Bachelor. In fact, Maria was supposed to be the next Bachelorette for Season 21, but after turning down the offer, it ultimately went to Jenn Tran, who was also a part of Joey’s season.
Unfortunately, Maria has been seeing her name pop up in multiple tabloid headlines recently. It all began when she was dragged into Jenn’s season after her ex-fiance, Devin Strader, followed her on social media.
Now, the reality TV star is shutting down rumors that she dated comedian Pete Davidson—and that their breakup led the actor to seek professional treatment. But, does she have a relationship with another famous Pete?

Maria Georgas Shut Down Pete Davidson Dating Rumors, But Did Admit To Having A Close Relationship To One Of His Family Members
It didn’t take long for Bachelor contestant Maria Georgas to shut down false rumors about her and comedian Pete Davidson. On November 18, British tabloid The Sun ran a wild story saying that not only did she have a “secret romance” with the SNL star, but that their breakup led Pete to check into rehab.
The story spread like wildfire with multiple outlets sharing the same report in which an unnamed source alleged that Pete “checked into rehab in Florida fairly recently,” adding, “He’s in pretty bad shape this time around. He’s not in a good place.”
Pete has been open and has even joked about checking into rehab for his mental health (the comedian checked himself into a facility this past summer). However, The Sun’s piece was quickly debunked by Maria.
After the news went viral, Maria jumped on her Instagram Stories to set the record straight. The reality star first shared that she and Pete were never an item.
“Never dated Pete. False rumor!”
Maria then shared, “I’m friends with his sister. Case closed.”
Instead of staying quiet, Maria even decided to call Pete’s sister, Casey Davidson, to debunk the rumor that the comedian had headed to Florida to seek treatment.
“Just spoke to [Pete’s] sister[,] he’s not in rehab and has been sober for months. Can’t believe this s***[,] it’s very insulting to his recovery and my mental health. He’s literally home.”
Just two days later, Pete shot down the rumors he was in rehab in Florida and “in pretty bad shape” when he was spotted enjoying an NBA game with his mom, Amy Waters Davidson, in New York City. “The King of Staten Island” actor’s mom even posted photos of the two sitting courtside at a Brooklyn Nets game on Instagram. She captioned the images with a blue heart, basketball and heart-faced emojis.
Pete looked to be in good spirits, smiling at the camera and even giving a thumbs up in the photos.

Is Maria Dating Bachelor’s Peter Weber AKA Pilot Pete?
Maria may not be part of Pete’s long list of celebrity relationships, but she was seen with a totally different Pete. In early November, Bachelor Nation fans went into a frenzy when the reality TV star was seen hanging out with former Bachelor lead Peter Weber aka Pilot Pete.
A fan spotted Maria and Peter hanging out at a restaurant in New York City, and later shared a video of the two on TikTok. In the clip, Maria and Peter are seen speaking intently to one another, despite being there with a group of friends. The user who uploaded the video can be heard saying in the background, “Are they in love? Who knows?”
The TikTok user also found the pairing odd. She captioned her post, “excuse my voice plz. This was kinda crazy? two random bachelor alumni chatting away.” Commenters also found Maria and Peter hanging out with one another totally out of the blue. “That is tea. bc I was flabbergasted,” one wrote. “The way my jaw dropped,” another user said.
Bachelor Nation fans will recall Peter beginning his Bachelor journey as a contestant in Hannah Brown’s season. Unfortunately, Hannah sent Peter packing after Fantasy Suites. Peter was then named Season 24’s The Bachelor, which saw him proposing to Hannah Ann Sluss. The two broke up before the finale aired, and he rekindled his relationship with contestant Madison Prewett. However, that relationship was also short-lived.
Pilot Pete apparently had a thing for rekindling romances with his contestants because he began a relationship with Kelley Flanagan in 2020. They seemed promising, but decided to split after three years together.

Maria Claimed That She Was Single
After Maria was seen with Peter, she hinted that they were nothing more than good friends. According to Life & Style, Maria took to her Instagram Story in which she seemingly referenced all the Pilot Pete dating rumors.
Maria reposted a Sex and the City meme that read, “Describe your current life or relationship status … as if Carrie [Bradshaw] was writing it.” The reality star then wrote, “I couldn’t help but wonder… will I ever be able to be single in peace?!”
Maria appeared to tell her followers that she was very single and just friends with Peter. In fact, she’s friends with other male Bachelor Nation stars, but tabloids always want to blow it up into something more.
When Maria “had to defend her character” in a TikTok following Jenn calling her ex out for following Maria on social media, she shared that she had never met Devin, but did hang out with other Bachelor men in Jenn’s season. In her TikTok, Maria admitted to hanging out with Jenn’s ex, Jeremy Simon, and going out clubbing with him.
Still, that didn’t mean Maria was seeing Jeremy on a romantic level. And, it seems like her relationship with Pilot Pete is nothing more than a friendship.
