RHONJ fans are patiently waiting to find out more about the show during its period of being put on pause this fall. As rumors circulate regarding who may be in the cast for the next season, some of the Real Housewives are taking to the airways on their respective podcasts while cameras are down.
Speaking on her Turning The Tables show, Teresa Giudice gives her take on “the straw that broke the camel’s back,” when it comes to the feud continuing between herself and her brother, Joe Giudice. As many Real Housewives of New Jersey fans will know, the siblings’ feud has been going on a decade and, as it stands, they’re still not talking.
Teresa says she’s been ‘villainized’
This year, Teresa may be taking time away from RHONJ filming, but she is keeping busy with other reality TV shows including House Of Villains.
Speaking of her casting on the show, Teresa tells Crystal Kung Minkoff of RHOBH: “Everyone’s coming after me on my show. So, it’s like I have no choice but to defend myself. I guess I come off like the villain.”
Crystal calls Tre a “softie,” as the RHONJ star explains she wasn’t sure about doing House Of Villians as she “didn’t like the name.”
“I gave it a chance… everyone that’s watching it now is like ‘oh my god, this is the Teresa we miss’ because they remember me from season 1 and 2 and I’m like ‘that’s who I would be’.”
There are two sides to every story and Teresa is telling hers this November. She continues: “But, unfortunately, I have all these people that… I’m the top dog, I’m the OG, they want to try to come after me, take me down, which is so sad.”
RHONJ siblings ‘no longer speak’
Giving an insight as to where she and Joe stand today. Teresa tells Crystal: “I don’t speak to my brother anymore and his wife.”
Crystal chimes in: “That’s so heartbreaking…” before the RHONJ OG adds: “I kept my mouth shut… there are a lot of things I could’ve said throughout the years. Now, this is going on over 10 years.”
Teresa continues: “The straw that broke the camel’s back is when they didn’t come to my wedding. They were making all this stuff up like, why didn’t you put me in the wedding? I didn’t put her in because I didn’t want to. Because of what she’s done to me for the past 10 years. But, still, keep the peace. You know what I mean? Afterward, I was like OK put her in, tried to do the right thing.
“But she said ‘no’ and I was like ‘oh my god, they’re doing this all for a storyline… I’m tired of their sh**, I’m not doing this anymore, I’m done. That was it. There’s no going back after that. Crystal, I gave them over 10 years of chances.”
The reality TV star reflects on better days with her brother: “While my parents were alive, there were so many things I could’ve said. Growing up we were like best friends. That’s all my parents wanted, was for us to get along. While they were here, on this Earth, I made sure we got along.”
Teresa says she tells her four daughters not to be “jealous of one another,” and doesn’t want them to follow in her and Joe’s footsteps.
