Married At First Sight doesn’t always work out the way it is intended to, with some of its contestants pursuing romances with other reality TV stars in the same franchise and outside of it.
The format of the popular dating show sees a team of relationship experts pairing up strangers who meet each other for the first time on their wedding day. MAFS, which currently boasts several international versions, follows the couples as they live together and decide whether to continue with their relationship.
The show can quickly turn very dramatic, as it has happened when contestants have chosen to explore a connection with another bride or husband on their season, shocking viewers, experts and co-stars alike. However, things can also go along another, unusual path, as it has been the case with MAFS contestants who have started dating a fellow MAFSer from another season, or someone from another reality TV show entirely.

6 Married At First Sight UK Matthew Murray Confirmed Relationship With Marilyse Corrigan

Married at First Sight UK star Matt Murray has had quite the dramatic journey on season seven of the British version of the show.
Matched with Gemma Rose, the barber shared a secret kiss with Whitney Hughes, who was paired with Duka Cavolli. Matt and Whitney were allowed to reenter the experiment together, only to split after the show aired its last episode.
However, it seemed that Matt has found love with another MAFS UK contestant, Marilyse Corrigan, who took part in Season 6 and was matched with Franky Spencer. She and Matt went on holiday together in November 2022 and confirmed their relationship in multiple Instagram posts after having initially shut down any rumors.
“Reality TV is not the real world. This is. Good came from the bad,” Matt captioned a photo of him and Marilyse kissing.
At first, the two had kept their love story on the down low, with a representative for Marilyse explaining the situation to Digital Spy.
“She’s being nothing more than a supportive friend to him whilst other friends from the show are filming the Christmas reunion.”

The two shared a fun night in Manchester with Amy’s pal Marilyse and her new boyfriend (and Johnathan’s friend) Matt. But was it a double date officially? A representative for Amy and Johnathan said the two “friends” have “grown close.”
“They’ve grown close since the show’s reunion and are enjoying each other’s company as friends.”
However, it does not appear that the two are a couple.

MAFS Australia’s Jack Millar has found love with a little help of his “wife” Domenica Calarco.
The two were paired on the ninth season of the Aussie version of MAFS and went through with their decision in the final commitment ceremony. However, they split afterwards but remained on good terms. Domenica invited him to the launch of her collaboration with Showpo, where Love Island Australia star Courtney Stubbs was also in attendance.
The two hit it off and are currently in a relationship. Earlier this year, the two opened up on the challenges of going the distance.
“It definitely has its challenges, but it’s kind of something new that we’re both learning,” Jack said in the video.

“It’s not going to happen any point soon. Maybe when (Boston) is five or six then I’ll probably give him a sibling.”
