The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Steel Development, Dr Chris Osa Isokpunwu, has emphasised the need to revive the steel sector in order to use it and grow the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which will in turn revolutionise the country’s economy.
Dr Chris re-emphasised this when he played host to the Association of Benin Community in Abuja who were on a courtesy visit to his office to felicitate with him on his appointment as permanent secretary for the ministry on Tuesday in Abuja.
While expressing his appreciation for the visit, he stated that the task of being the permanent secretary of a ministry through which the government wants to expand and grow the economy is a daunting task.
He however, noted that with the support of the association and other critical stakeholders in the steel sector, success would be attained.
Earlier, president of the association, Barr. Lucky O. Odigie, who led the delegation described the permanent secretary as an astute achiever who wants the best for everybody.
