Properties Worth Millions Lost as Fire Razes Popular Lagos Market

The popular Ajah Market in Lagos has been razed by a fire outbreak which took place on Sunday evening.

Destroying properties worth millions of naira, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said no casualty or injury was recorded in the fire at the market around Alesh Bus Stop in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

According to the agency, investigations have shown that the immediate cause of the fire could not be ascertained.

LASEMA said, “Investigations conducted by LRT revealed that the immediate cause of the fire could not yet be ascertained as at the time of writing this report.”
