The Golden State Warriors lost to the Eastern Conference’s top club, the Cleveland Cavaliers, on Friday night, but they won 127-116 over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. Warriors star defender Draymond Green was the talk of the town for his on-court actions, which frustrated the Thunder fans. Green is known for his bad tackling in the NBA, and it came into play against the Thunder during the 4th quarter.
During the fourth quarter, Green moved toward the Thunder basket with Luguentz Dort guarding the veteran. However, Green did not seem pleased and swung his hands towards Dort’s face. To everyone’s surprise, the referee issued just a technical foul for Green’s wild foul on Dort.
This garnered widespread reactions from the NBA community. One fan wrote on X, “needs an MMA contract immediately” after witnessing Green’s foul on Dort.

In addition, the Thunder side challenged the referee’s call, but to no avail. The referees seem to stick with their decision to issue a technical foul for Green. Green’s costly and premature fouls harmed the Warriors’ status all season long last season. So it’s concerning, to say the least, that the trend is beginning this season as well.
Aside from this, Warriors star man Stephen Curry stepped up in this matchup. He dropped a whopping 36 points on the Thunder side.
This comes after an average showing in his previous matchup against the Cavs. Along with the 36 points, Curry also gathered 5 rebounds and provided 7 assists to round off a great performance.
