Rivers state governor Siminalayi Fubara, his counterparts in Abia and Imo states, Alex Otti and Hope Uzodimma are currently in Akwa Ibom State for the burial of Patience Umo Eno, the wife of Governor Umo Eno.
In attendance is former president Goodluck Jonathan, the acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Umar Damagum, and the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.
The ceremony, which is currently underway at Ikot Ekpene Udo in the Nsit Ubium Local Government Area of the state, has attracted a large gathering of dignitaries, several other politicians, and well-wishers.
Patience Eno passed away on September 26, 2024, after a brief illness.
It is understood that President Bola Tinubu, who is in France for a state visit, will be represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
