Is Influencer Aspyn Ovard Joining The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives??

Season 1 of Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives saw TikTok’s infamous “MomTok” friend group go through the highs and lows of a scandal that nearly broke their union. The Salt Lake City-based friends became famous for their playful TikToks about friendship, motherhood, and the Mormon culture. However, a swinging scandal nearly put a halt to their following.

Time Magazine reported that in 2022, MomTok creator Taylor Frankie Paul told her followers that the group was not in a good place after some couples participated in “soft swinging.” Swinging parties soon led to deeper feelings, cheating, divorces, and a fallout with each other. By the end of Season 1, the group tried to rally from their hardships. Now that Season 2 has been greenlit and started filming in October 2024, new cast members are rumored to be added to the series, including Utah-based influencer, Aspyn Ovard.

Is Aspyn Ovard Joining The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives?

In October 2024, People reported that influencer Aspyn Ovard made a TikTok directed at MomTok group members, Taylor Frankie Paul and Jennifer Affleck. While nothing is confirmed about Aspyn joining the series, the addition does make sense.

In Season 1, Taylor and Jen both showcased the hardships of their respective relationships. Taylor was fresh out of a divorce and in a new, controversial relationship with Dakota Mortensen. Likewise, audiences saw the tension between Jen and her husband, as she juggled between modern life and a strict Mormon household.

On TikTok, Aspyn shared a follower’s comment, “Do I need to send in @AspynOvard to talk to @JenAffleck and @TaylorPaul?” In response, Aspyn did a voice-over for the trending Keeping Up With the Kardashians audio, “What would happen if you just called Taylor up?”

The caption read “Call me anytime @SecretLivesOnHulu.”

Can the husbands of the show hold a flame to their influencer wives?

Fans of the series felt that Aspyn was hinting at a crossover because some of the MomTok crowd commented on her video.

  • Mickayla Matthews: “I’ve been waiting lol.”
  • Mayci Neeley: “Pls. I have tried so hard, I need you to take over.”
  • Taylor Frankie Paul: “We can cry together holding our new babies.”

According to People, like Taylor, Aspyn is off the cusp of a recent divorce. In April 2024, the popular influencer filed for divorce from her husband Parker Ferris. Although the former couple didn’t outright say why they split, Aspyn dropped some hints in various TikToks.

Whitney R. was NOT happy about Whitney L. copying her.

In a now-deleted TikTok, she joked about some of the things she’s looking for in a new boyfriend, which shed some light on what her relationship with Parker looked like.

Someone who doesn’t lie, someone who has a job, and someone who doesn’t accuse me of cheating on them all the time.

If that TikTok wasn’t an indication of a crossover, Aspyn was also seen partying with the group on Halloween, which was when Hulu’s cameras were rolling.

As a former Mormon living in Utah with a massive online following — who is already friends with members of MomTok — Aspyn could make a great addition to Season 2.

The reality star sparked rumors about joining the dance competition.

And while the friend group is entertaining and dramatic as it is, there have been rumors of new additions to Season 2.

Three Possible Newbies To The Series:

  • Aspyn Ovard
  • Miranda McWhorter
  • Camile Munday.

While the Mormon influencers Miranda and Camile would be potentially new to the series, they’re not new to the group. Miranda and Camile were both members of MomTok before the swinging scandal broke. Once the news came out about soft swinging, Camile and Miranda stepped away from the group’s TikToks.

  • US Weekly shared that Miranda went on to separate from her husband, Chase, which led TiKTok sleuths to assume they were a part of the swinging group. The pair have two children.
  • Camile and her husband are still together and have three children.

Thanks to social media comments (according to Evoke), Miranda, Camille, and Aspyn are on good terms with Taylor, which could lead to them being friends of the cast, if not full-time cast members.

As of this article’s publishing, no new additions have been made public while the cast is filming.
