The Senior Partner/CEO & Tax Lead, Africentric Professional Services (APS), Abuja, Chief Godwin Ukah, has applauded the present administration for its ruggedness to advance the nation.
He, however, urged that attention be given to insecurity and energy issues, among others.
Speaking to journalists in an interview during the inaugural board meeting of the organisation, Ukah noted that without security, there cannot be development.
He said: “Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)opens up for employment and generation creation. Another is energy. Far back as 1990, when I was AGM Finance of a factory that had around 400 employees, and what collapsed it today, was power. The turnover at that time was in billions of naira.
“If you go to the East today, the business people are involved in are hotels and supermarkets rather than the usual factories to produce because of lack of diesel funding to keep such places functioning and manufacturing to survive.”
Ukah disclosed that the firm would officially take over in the form of merger of the existing structures of Ugochukwu Ukah and Co. Nigeria, I.G Uwakwem and Co, IIC Partners, to build on the existing structures.
The existing firms, he said, currently have over 350 corporate clients spread across the country and beyond, with notable presence in the United Kingdom and United States of America.
He noted that the firm was taking off in Abuja, Lagos, Owerri, Port Harcourt and Kaduna.
Also speaking at the event, Managing Partner/Chief Operating Officer of APS Kerian Onwuzuruike assured that the firm would provide quality and excellent services at the cheapest cost, without compromising quality.
He said the firm would set new standards in accounting services, adding that integrity would be their watchword.
