Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has praised the abilities of seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton ahead of his 2025 move. The 39-year-old is set to join the Maranello-based team after spending 12 years with Mercedes.
Lewis Hamilton is often regarded as one of the greatest drivers in the history of Formula 1. With over 100 wins and 200 podiums, the Brit has cemented his status as a top-notch driver. His partnership with the Silver Arrows has led them to eight consecutive constructors’ championship victories.
Christian Horner has predicted that Hamilton will be a challenger as soon as he sets foot into Ferrari. Horner has been against the Brit during the most successful years of his reign but shares a sense of mutual respect for the latter.
Charles Leclerc is, again, another very fast driver. But Ferrari is a team that looks like they’re picking momentum up. And so, for sure, a driver of Lewis’s quality is always going to be a challenger.

Hamilton’s last season with the Brackley-based team has not been as merry as he would have desired. The 39-year-old has been sluggish in his efforts, struggling to find pace and balance for the better part of the campaign. He will now divert his focus to making the most of the last three races from here on.

Ferrari has been in good form for the better part of the season. Having amassed five wins and 18 podiums, the Maranello-based team stands second in the constructors’ championship behind McLaren.
I’m very interested in my future, of course. And so, in that respect, keeping an eye, yeah. Watching everything that happens. If you look at somewhere like maybe China already, the Red Bull was like a second ahead. And it’s been quite incredible to see the McLaren rise and then the Ferrari in the last few races, to see their progress and just trying to keep an eye on everyone’s car and what they’re changing and what they’re adding.

Lewis Hamilton has since praised the efforts of his future team after consecutive wins at Austin and Mexico. The 39-year-old has claimed that it has been even more interesting to see the changes and innovations made by Ferrari throughout the races.
Ferrari and McLaren appear to be the frontrunners for the title this season. Red Bull currently trails in third after a string of weak performances up until the Brazilian GP. A three-way battle for the championship will now unfold in front of fans at the upcoming Las Vegas GP.
