The Real Housewives of London is finally coming in 2025, and fans can’t wait to see which posh ladies will banter and bicker with each other this time. While it’s not the first UK installation of the franchise—with Cheshire running for 17 seasons now since 2015 and Jersey (UK) since 2020—it will be Hayu’s first original series. The platform streams Bravo shows outside the U.S., including Canada, parts of Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
The new spin-off was announced in October during Hayu’s first-ever FanFest event, attended by the King of Reality TV himself, Andy Cohen, along with other Bravo personalities like Housewives stars, Sutton Stracke (Beverly Hills) and Lisa Barlow (Salt Lake City). Interestingly, days before the news came out, Andy said he didn’t know if a London Housewives was possible… He remains mum about it, causing fans to investigate the potential cast members themselves.
Andy Cohen Pretended He Didn’t Know About The Real Housewives Of London
In an interview with ELLE UK, two days before the Hayu FanFest in London, the magazine asked Andy if we could “ever expect a Real Housewives of London” soon. He responded with a shrug, saying he had no idea. In the article that was published weeks later, writer Naomi May noted that Andy is “a showman very much in the business of creating drama.”

Even with their constant spending, the housewives are still some the wealthiest reality stars around.
As of this writing, Andy still hasn’t shared anything since the announcement. But in Hayu’s Instagram announcement, they promised that they “will bring you The Real Housewives of London in 2025! Nobody serves a good cup of tea like the British—and London’s finest are ready to spill it.” It will be produced by Monkey, the same company behind Made in Chelsea, an ongoing series featuring 20-something socialites that debuted in 2011.
While Andy didn’t share anything about the London installment, he told ELLE about the moment he knew the Housewives had “made it.” It was during the second season of its very first show, Real Housewives of Orange County. “During season two of RHOC, I was really starting to care about the women in a way that I used to care about people when I watched soap operas and I was like, ‘Oh my God, we did it!'” he said.

Andy added it was the promise of diversity that inspired the expansion. “The idea of Jill Zarin, a Jewish mother, being a real housewife where the Orange County women were so blonde, and you know, not ethnic. I just loved it,” he told the magazine.

The couple previously dabbled in reality/documentary specials when they moved to the U.S. in the 2000s. Those didn’t do well, but maybe now’s the time, and it’ll be in their home country.

The Real Housewives Of London Is Set To Start Production Early In 2025
Casting for Real Housewives of London was still underway at the time of the announcement. It’s only been over a month, so a lot could still be revealed between now and their aimed production start in the first quarter of 2025. The execs themselves are excited about it all. After the FanFest reveal, Hendrik McDermott, managing director of Hayu and EMEA Networks and international direct-to-consumer at NBCUniversal, said:
“Tonight’s announcement of The Real Housewives of London is Hayu’s first-ever commission of an original series and yet another key milestone in the growth story of our all-reality streaming service. It makes sense that such an iconic location in the U.K.—a core Hayu market—would feature into our strategy to further amplify our offering with original content that super-serves loyal fans. We look forward to being the exclusive home of this latest installment in the wildly popular The Real Housewives franchise.”
Monkey’s managing director, Helen Kruger Bratt, also vowed to fans that “it’s safe to say, the audience will not be disappointed!” Now, that’s something, since Made in Chelsea is still going strong in its 28th season. Helen—who’s received a BAFTA nomination—also worked as a production manager for Love Island and Survival of the Fittest, per her IMDb page.
