Tafoki commends NEMA on response to victims of natural disasters

The Member Representing Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki, has commended the director general of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Dr. Zubaida Umar for promptly responding to the plight of victims affected by social and natural disasters including drought, and banditry prevalent in Kankara and Faskari local government areas of Katsina state.

Hon. Tafoki made the commendation Sunday while distributing food stuff and household wares donated by NEMA to support his efforts towards providing succour to the affected people.

“On behalf of the people especially those benefiting from this gesture, I wish to express my appreciation and gratitude to the Management of NEMA under the able leadership of Dr. Zubaida Umar for promptly responding to the needs of our people,” the lawmaker said.

In a good will message to the occasion, the Katsina state deputy governor, Farouk Lawal Jobe, said the state governor, Dr Umar Radda, is conscious of the need to secure lives and property of its people by cooperating with security agencies especially against state actors who breach the tenets of safety and peaceful coexistence of citizens of Katsina state.
