Staying on top of your appearance is a priority for many TV stars. After a lifetime in the spotlight, Kandi Burruss stepped away from RHOA earlier this year. Since then, the mom of two has been on a weight loss journey. After following a Hollywood trend flopped for Kandi, she decided to go back to an old trusty method to shed some pounds.
In the midst of a fight with Sherée Whitfield during The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 15 episode 17, Kandi Burruss famously exclaimed she hasn’t ever opted for plastic surgery. The singer and business owner also publicly stated how Ozempic didn’t work for her earlier this year. Now, she debuts her weight loss results after going down a different avenue.
Kandi said Ozempic didn’t work or her
Earlier this year, Kandi explained how she went down the route of trying to lose weight using Ozempic.
However, the weight loss jabs didn’t work for her. She exclusively told Page Six how she was keen to jump on the trend, but when she didn’t get the results she expected, she felt “depressed.”
Kandi’s doctor was “baffled” by the fact her appetite wasn’t curbed by Ozempic.
Kandi opts for a throwback solution
Taking to Instagram on October 9, Kandi reveals “operation #unbigmyback was a success.”
The former reality TV star explains how she’s “feeling more confident than ever,” after opting for some help from Hydroxycut – a weight loss supplement brand.
Speaking to Page Six earlier in the year, Kandi explained how Hydroxycut was something she used back in the day to achieve her desired weight loss results.
“…She relied on Hydroxycut in her younger years to maintain her preferred weight. [Kandi] had her team reach out to the company as she was curious to see if their range of products could aid once again in her desire to lean out,” the outlet writes.
Now, it appears Kandi is reveling in the results of Hydroxycut as she says she changed her eating habits and used the supplements twice a day: “I lost 10 pounds in like three and a half weeks.”
She adds how she’s lost “31 pounds” in total on her weight loss journey.
According to the brand, Kandi’s “go-to,” is the Pro Clinical Berberine DHB.
Back in June, she unveiled her goal weight of being in the “130s.”
She said: “My ultimate goal is to basically lose 20 pounds to get back to where I was last year, overall. But I would love, love to overall lose 30 so that I can be into my 130s…”
Kandi appears to be feeling fabulous following her RHOA departure – not because she doesn’t like the show – but just because there are lots of projects she’s excited about these days, and she’s feeling “more confident than ever.”
She exclusively tells People: “I couldn’t be happier with the way things have been going since I am not on the show.”
