The people of Rivers State on Saturday trooped out in numbers to vote for leaders at the grassroots level despite the lingering political crisis rocking the state.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) earlier reports the Action Peoples Party (APP) cleared 22 chairmanship positions out of 23 in the Rivers State local government election.
The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, Chief Election Officer, Justice Adolphus Enebeli, announced the result in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
He mentioned that the declaration of results for Etche Local Government Area has been put on hold due to the continuous process of tallying the votes.
