The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won 10 out of the councils declared by the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) in the aftermath of the Local Government Area (LGAs) election held on Wednesday.
The councils declared were: Bassa, Jos South, Riyom, Kanam, Barkin Ladi, Mikang, Jos East, Langtang South, Quaan Pan, and Shendam.
The declaration was made by the Chairman of the Commission, Plangji Cishak, in Jos, the state capital, on Thursday.
Cishak said the results from the remaining seven local governments were still being collated (Bokkos, Jos North, Pankshin, Kanke, Mangu, Langtang North, and Wase).
Blueprint reports that the result announcement by PLASIEC is coming after several polling units in the state didn’t witnessed election due to lack of electoral materials and officials.
