YSL Co-Founder Mondo Claims Offset Called Him Out Over Cardi B Messaging Controversy

YSL Co-founder Mondo Speaks Out After Offset Allegedly Confronted Him Over Cardi B Messages.

YSL (Young Stoner Life) Records co-founder, Fremondo Crenshaw, also known as Mondo, is creating buzz on social media after revealing a confrontation he had with rapper Offset. In a video posted by Say Cheese! and shared on X (formerly Twitter), Mondo recounted how Offset allegedly called him out for messaging Cardi B, Offset’s wife.

In the clip, Mondo recalls the conversation with Offset, stating, “Man, this btch called my phone, man. Damn bro why you playing with a ngga? Ayy this on God don’t let me wake up tomorrow if I’m lying.” Mondo, who is also a musical artist, claimed that Offset was unhappy with him after finding out he had contacted Cardi B, though Mondo seemed unaware of her connection to the Migos rapper at the time.

Mondo further addressed Offset in the video, saying, “We ain’t gon’ do that Tinder, man. We ain’t gon’ do that. Don’t get mad ’cause I smacked one of your baby mamas. I tried to fck—I ain’t gonna say f

ck, take that back, ’cause there ain’t no disrespect to Cardi—but I really would just let her know, man, you need a real n*gga in yo life.”

In the video, Mondo also mentioned that Offset seemed to harbor ill feelings towards him even before the incident, saying, “I don’t even know you, boy. Put this on your kids, boy, you don’t know me. When I first started talking to shia, my boy, boy used to pillow talk, used to throw salt and say all types of sideways as sht.”

Though Cardi B and Offset have yet to publicly respond to the claims, another figure close to Offset, Shya L’Amour, stepped in to defend him. Shya, who shares a child with Offset, went live on Instagram, where she called out Mondo for stirring up drama, saying, “Put a b*tch up in a warehouse somewhere, do something other than talk about who’s sleeping with who.”

Mondo’s recent media attention isn’t solely due to this incident. He made headlines last month after voicing his support for fellow YSL member Gunna, who faced RICO charges in 2022. In a statement posted on Instagram, Mondo expressed regret for speaking out against Gunna initially, acknowledging that Gunna didn’t “rat” but had “folded under pressure.”

Additionally, Mondo has dealt with his own legal troubles. In August 2023, he was arrested for violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act after authorities discovered weapons, drugs, and cash at his residence. Despite being a YSL co-founder, Mondo had previously avoided involvement in the ongoing RICO case targeting the label.

As the drama unfolds, it’s yet to be seen if Offset or Cardi B will address the situation. For now, the social media buzz surrounding Mondo’s claims continues to grow, adding another layer to the ongoing conflicts in the hip-hop world.
