Dancing With The Stars is letting Anna Delvey showcase her moves. Delvey was convicted of swindling banks, hotels and friends in 2019 after falsely building a reputation as a rich German heiress. But one part of her dancing attire isn’t a hit with everyone, as her appearance on the show has caused backlash.

Anna Delvey, who is currently on house arrest, has received criticism while she takes part on Dancing With The Stars. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba pointed out Delvey caused a “shift in the energy” in the room.
Inaba urged the audience to “give this a chance” and focus on the dancing, before Delvey and Sosa received 18 points. Now, former DWTS contestant and The Office’s Kate Flannery is sharing her thoughts.
She told The Domenick Nati Show of Delvey appearing on the series with her ankle monitor, “We don’t need that vibe. She’s not a dancer. We can do better than that.”
Delvey wears an ankle monitor and told partner, Ezra Rosa, “I overstayed my visa because I was in jail so it’s kind of hard to leave,” as he claimed the monitor was inhibiting her during practice.
Having appeared on DWTS five years ago, Flannery, who attended the recent season’s opening night, is not on board with Delvey’s appearance – especially as she danced with a bedazzled ankle monitor.
Flannery said, “I don’t think it’s necessary. If they’re looking to get more people to watch the show, I don’t think that’s the way to go. She looks like a dancer, but she’s never danced, evidently.”
