Garrison, son of Kody and Janelle Brown, suddenly died at 25 years old. He passed on March 5, 2024, six months prior to season 19’s release. The show notes how filming for season 19 began in “late 2022” to give fans some idea of the episodes’ timeline.

On March 6, NBC News reported Garrison Brown “was found dead at a home in Arizona on Tuesday.”
The report continues: “Flagstaff police said it appeared he died by suicide… Police said that the death was under investigation and that there was no sign of foul play.”
Tributes poured for Garrison, who was a beloved member of the Brown family.
Garrison’s cause of death was ruled as a suicide in May.
Six months since Garrison’s passing
Sister Wives season 19 is airing just over six months since Garrison’s untimely death.
His mom, Janelle, took to Instagram on September 5, the date marking six months since her son passed.
Sharing a photograph of the two of them together, Janelle captioned her post:
“6 months ago today you went away. You come up in my photo memories almost every day. Sometimes it doesn’t seem like you’re gone. And then I remember I won’t be getting a call or text from you and it all comes rushing back. I know you fought hard but in the end you just couldn’t stay. I love you so much and will see you again when my journey is done.”
Fans comment on the post to say Janelle is “in their thoughts.”
Another writes: “I loved seeing yall’s relationship on the show. You can tell he had a big heart just like his momma!!!”
More pen kind words: “I’m sorry. I think about Garrison, you and your family often. You have all touched the hearts of so many people.”
