Secret Lives of Mormon Wives couple, Taylor and Dakota, have declared they are no longer together. After Dakota sat down to watch the Hulu series, he was unhappy about how he was portrayed on the show.
While Taylor does not regret filming the Hulu show, Dakota was reeling about how editing made him look. The couple got together months after she announced her split from ex-husband Tate.
Taylor and Dakota aren’t together
Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen are not together after being on the rocks since Secret Lives of Mormon Wives first aired, despite appearing to be happily expecting.
On season 1, the former couple enjoyed a baby shower with their loved ones and fellow cast members. However, when Dakota sat down and watched the Hulu show, the two went their separate ways for a while.
“I would say we’re working on things, and I actually have no idea where it goes with us from here,” Taylor told Us Magazine. “We are not fully together, but not fully done. I don’t know what the future holds with him and I.”
Taylor is “trying to cope” as she feels “heartbroken” over them not being together. The two were expecting their first baby on the series, but she tragically suffered an ectopic pregnancy.
In February 2023, Taylor was arrested after a drunk fight with Dakota, as captured on camera. The star was charged with aggravated assault and two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child.
She was also charged with abuse with injury and criminal mischief after the incident. The Hulu star pleaded guilty in August 2023 to aggravated assault, while the other four charges were dismissed with prejudice.
Dakota wasn’t happy with the show edits
Dakota and Taylor called time on their relationship for a while, as he was not happy with the show’s edit. She said: “He has a really good soft side, and I feel like that wasn’t shown on the show.”
“He’s like, ‘I look like this a** to you while you’re pregnant, when that’s not the case of how I treated you the whole time. Yes, I did defend myself in [some] cases, but that’s not how I am to you,” she added.
Reiterating how he told her, “I look like this awful person when I’m not.’” Months after the arrest when she was pregnant with son Ever, they said they were committed to a future together on camera.
However, right now, they are spending time apart.
