TV bride who claimed she's been 'celibate' for 9 months finally gets corrected

Married at First Sight UK star Sacha repeatedly told her co-stars and husband that she’s been celibate for nine months. However, she was recently told she’s actually abstinent, to the relief of viewers.

Sacha would not sleep in the same bed with her new husband on Married at First Sight UK. She told him she’s been “celibate for nine months” and felt it was important to her to keep that until she’s ready.

Sacha claims she’s a ‘celibate’

Sacha has been claiming she’s been celibate for nine months, revealing intimacy is really important for her and only happens when she’s in a relationship with somebody she trusts.

She refused to kiss her new husband, Ross, on the lips on their wedding day, and told him of her situation once married. He offered to sleep on the sofa, but they ended up sleeping in bed on the honeymoon.

After the honeymoon, when Sacha and Ross moved in together, he told a co-star that she’s celibate and therefore they had not been intimate. The experts claimed it was “nice” to see his respect for her.

MAFS UK star ‘finally’ corrected

Sacha was corrected by expert, Paul Brunson, over her using the term celibate, when the correct use of the situation is abstinent, which is defined as refraining from an activity or consumption of something.

Celibate is defined as a person who abstains from intercourse. A fan wrote: “FINALLY someone has told Sacha she’s abstinent and not celibate! They’re not the same thing at all and its been grating on me.”

Another penned: “I was so happy when he corrected her! And there went her personality…” A fellow fan said: “Glad he corrected her, but it was just a harmless misuse of a term.”
